			VRad Manual

VRad 1.0 for Win32
------------------
VRad (ArchVile's Radiosity mod) is an updated version of qrad3. In
version 1.0 two new switches exist to make the level designers life
easier:

-noqdir This option disables those annoying path messages.
Since many level designers do not work at id software,
they do not need the same path restrictions.

-userfl Use reflectivity data file. The reflectivity data will
be generated by the texture reflectivity program (tr).
The file created will be the same base name as your .bsp
file but it has the .rfl extension instead. This allows
for more flexibility in the design of texture reflectivity.

TR 1.0 for Win32
----------------
A utlity for generating reflectivity data is provided with vrad. This
tool reads the .bsp file created by previous quake2 data processing, the
texture data, and the colormap. Then it produces reflectivity values
in an output file. The command line parms are as follows:

-v Enable verbose mode. Show all errors and warnings.

-reflectivity # Set a default reflectivity value. If a texture is
not found in the path then this value is assigned.
Note values are between 0.0 and 1.0 and default: 0.5.

-contrast # Set contrast value to adjust for the dark textures of
Quake2's palette. Think of it as a gamma value.

-gamedir path Sets path for the texture .wal's and colormap.pcx.

-nomaterials Dont apply default material properties to textures.
