I run into this problem too sometimes.....So no its not just you, I don't
know what to tell ya except sometimes I can grab one of those handles in one
of the other editing windows and it will move, so you might try that.....if
you cant seem to grab it.

Another weird thing that happens sometimes is:
I make a brush, a cube....then use move face, and sometimes the movement will
jump back to where it was before when I release the mouse button. I know
Quake can't handle concave brushes.... but this happens without a concave
error. Sometimes it even happens with the move lock on (only up/down or
only/right/left). My work around has been.....delete the brush and make a new
one =) But it is kind of annoying.
