I have heard that the Diamond Monster 3D is the best one.  However, in a 
benchmark test, the Orchid Righteous 3D actually was a tiny bit better.  
Not much though.  About .5 to 1 fps in GLQuake.  

You could wait for the Voodoo2, but I doubt it will be out before 
Christmas.  

Depending on how good your current 2d card is, you might want to get the 
voodoo Rush.  THe best combonation I have heard is a Orchid Righteous 
and the Matrox Mellinium (I THINK it was the Mellinium) because the 
Mellinium is supposedly the BEST 2d card out there, but it falls for 3d.
