heh, multiplay sucks unless you have a 52 inch TV. Playing on a 4way
split screen is a little hard on the eyes.
But serously Goldeneye is A VERY cool game, but one thing to consider,
that many posters have not. It's not really fair to compare a console game to
a PC game, unless they are the EXACT same game. Consider this, Every N64 has
the exact same specifications right? Same ram, same graphics hardware, all of
it is the same. If I wrote a game for the N64 I can take advantage of all the
advanced effects like smoke, And I will know that no matter what I put into
the game, as long as it runs on one N64 it will run on all of them.
However with a computer game you are more fighting the least common
denominator. I.e. How much cool stuff can the game designer put in there while
keeping the minimum system requirements low enough so that most people can
enjoy playing it. I mean who wants an Awsome PC game that plays at 5fps on
anything less than a PII 266 with a 3dfx card? It would be cool, but most
people just wouldn't have the hardware to enjoy it.
It's kinda pointless to say "ohh goldeneye has much better graphics
than quake 2" It's not that id didn't want to put cool stuff in quake 2, it's
that they wanted as many people as possilbe to be able to run the game.

Or that's what *I* think anyway.
Dustin.
