Well, I guess it just points out the different way of life we have. If I
knew somebody who owned a weapon, such as a gun, a bowie knife, or even
a knuckle-duster, it would seem unusual to me. I'd ask him why he owns
it. If he then told me he owned it not for sport, but to protect
himself, I'd be very astonished, even scared of him because he has such
violent thoughts, and I'd call him mad.

I have never been attacked, I don't know anybody who was. If somebody
gets killed in the robbing of the house, it makes the front page of the
newspapers. I live in a quiet country, where one doesn't think it
"normal" to carry a gun. I really think there's a connection, in both
ways.

It no doubt explains why we have so much trouble understanding the
other...
