With sound turned off, my PPro gets 20.5fps on demo1.dm2 in s/w mode
with fastvid and scitech display doctor installed. For reference:
it gets 18.8 on massive1.dm2 (a better measure of fps)
    and 47.7 on demo1.dm2 (on my Voodoo2 in 800x600)
    and 35.9 on massive1.dm2 (on my Voodoo2 in 800x600)
