the conversion background
=============================
the bender conversion has been in the making for many years. now a dream come true for MrDamage.
it was first started by Zeppelin FnR. then i offered to help, picking up where he left off.
the q3 animations are allot different to kinpin and in the current status it needed more work than i willing to do.. manually :)
so i ended up making a max script that converts the model animations from an imported MD3.
simply load the md3. legs, body, head, wep. then using the animation.cfg it will now have most kingpin animation sets.
you will need to do the usually model stuff, texture, smooth group scale.

additional files in zip
=============================
md3 to kingpin animation converter. you will need to get the gmax md3 importer by Chris Cookson.
updated md2 exporter for max. made for kingpin to allow models with seams to align correctly in game.
	select heady, body, legs and add to list, then export each section as usual.
an automated bat file to convert the md2 to mdx. you will need kpdata.exe from the sdk.
md2tool.exe by Jaakko Kernen. an md2 repair tool. used to Build GL commands into md2. needed by kpdata
note: these files are in beta. so expect some bugs.

install
==============================
extract model to kingpin folder. the zip will place the files into the correct folder.
load up a deathmatch game and go to the gangbang menu. select male_bender.

Place q3mdl-bender.pk3 file into the baseq3 folder.
Also you may need to create a Baseq3/models/players/bender if you are having problems
seeing the icons in the characters select screen.
