I have now released Team Trainyards.
Team Trainyards is a rip/remake of a part of the single player map Trainyards (ty3.bsp).
It's a mirrored, medium sized, Bagman map set in some trainyards.
The team's safe bags are located in train carriages and there is another carriage with weapons, armour and health. There are also weapons and other items scattered all around the bases.
The money drop (cash bags) is located in the middle of the map and there are side passageways between each base.
There are plenty of weapons and items and 20 player spawns (10 per team).
There is a grenade launcher included but it is in a wall cavity in the centre that only opens every couple of minutes.
Full credit to Xatrix for making the original map.
You can download Team Trainyards from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
I have been working on a new Bagman map called Team Trainyards. It's a rip/remake of a small part of the Trainyards single player map (ty3.bsp).
It's into beta now and will hopefully be tested during Sunday's Bagman game.
Jerry has sent some more screens of his upcoming single player mission called Orbital Sanctum.
These screens are of the Maintenance Access map which was the first map Jerry worked on but has now has completely updated.
It's the first map out of three on the Maintenance deck.
Tw!ns3n is back playing Kingpin so I thought it was a good time to highlight one of his old maps called AtomicDM.
AtomicDM is a smallish, arena style, two level map. The lower level is a corridor in the middle of the map with small rooms at either end with HMG's, armour and health.
There is also an open area above the corridor that is surrounded by passages that lead to the upper middle open area and also the lower corridor area.
It's still a popular map after all these years and is on most of the DM servers.
You can download AtomicDM from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Jerry has sent some more screenshots from his upcoming
Orbital Sanctum single player mission.
These are from "Live, Laugh, Love", the third map and final part of the first deck.
Stigma and I have made an updated version of his old Stigmadm7 map and renamed it
Deadman's Alley.
It is a medium sized, open, urban style map.It has a large open area surrounded by
buildings, some of which can be entered.
It has ample weapons and items and 14 player spawns.
The updated map has new areas, a lot of texture changes, different weapon and item
placement, more player spawns, bug fixes, improved fog and rain effects, and is slightly smaller than the original map.
You can download Deadman's Alley from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the
correct locations.
Jerry has released another video from his upcoming Single Player mission called
Orbital Sanctum.
Jerry describes the level this way:-
The first level featuring shootouts in my upcoming Kingpin mod campaign. I've been working on this map on and off and although it still needs further tweaks (primarily optimisation alongside item and enemy placement, balancing is a concern for me here) I'm finally happy with the state it's in.
Make sure you give this video a watch :)
Here is a great old map I haven't played for years.
It's
The Insane Streets (version2) by
Million. It is a large, urban style, DM map similar in size to the KPDM maps.
It was released in 2003 and we used to play this map all the time.
You can download The Insane Streets (version2) from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
[BA]D3struct!on has found an old Hitmen map we didn't have.
The map is called Laser Arena and is a small box map with a laser arena in the middle (like a boxing ring). You have to go through the lasers to get to the centre taking a small amount of damage as you do.
It has one cooling mod and a full set of armour but no pistol mods.
You can download HM Laser Arena from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
[BA]D3struct!on, a returning player, found an old Bagman map by
Million
The map is called Team Million and is a small, sort of two forts style, Bagman map.
I hope we get a chance to play it soon.
You can download Team Million from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
