Metroplex has released a Youtube video on how to set up the CD version of Kingpin.
If you have the GoG or Steam version of Kingpin you don't need the v1.21 patch as their versions are already patched. You just need the MH Kingpin patch.
The Thursday Game this week will be an hour or so of Death Match on the Fragfest Newskool server and then the remainder of the night will be the Crash Mod on the USA East Coast server.
Death Match will feature eleven recent map releases. The will be no map voting and we will just cycle through the list of maps.

Acc is currently working on a new map for the Crash mod. It's a conversion of an old counter-strike maps.
Fredz has uploaded two old PC Gamer magazines (both feature Kingpin reviews of course plus plenty of other reviews and game info from 1999). The magazines are Ultimate PC issue 23 and Action Plus issue 20 (a Polish PC mag supplied by Elfor).

The zipfile incudes everything you need to run a server with these bots. But if you want to run a public server, you'll need to use the Kpded2 file as well.

Monkey Harris has updated his MH Kingpin patch to version 11.1.
There was a small bug in v11 that caused delta parse_entities errors for some people.
That has been fixed and v11.1 is now available.

Here is a list of the many changes:-
Higher tickrates than the usual 10hz are supported, giving lower and more consistent latency. This requires updated server software too, which isn't released yet but is currently running on the Newskool and East Coast BM and DM servers (look for "sv_fps" in the serverinfo).
Download speed is improved, particularly when downloading multiple little files.
Sounds from moving bmodels (eg. doors/platforms) are now heard from the right place.
The movement of other entities when you have packetloss is now a bit smoother.
The crosshair target name display has had various tweaks, including not showing through doors and dense fog.
The "cl_stats" output includes the number of entities in the current frame, which is useful for checking when a map is hitting the limit. Duplicate lines are also removed to avoid flooding the console.
Changes in v10 that made translucent surfaces look wrong in some maps are reversed. A new surface flag (10000h) has instead been added for mappers to apply lightmaps to translucent surfaces.
Crashing to desktop with a NET_SendPacket recursive error message is now disabled (logged to console instead).
Had a game of the KPQ2v3 mod today on Cent's server.

Crash Classic is Crash mod with normal Kingpin weapons.

If you are looking to play a few rounds of Kingpin and no one is around then you can play against bots in the Luschen Botmatch Server (and there is also Luschen GunRace +bots server).
The bots are very good and if other ppl see you playing there they may join you and then you can get a game going :)
You can change the bots skill setting whilst you are in the server by opening the console and typing:-
votebotskill xx (where xx is 01 - 10. 01 being the lowest skill setting).
You can also change the bot settings and track your stats against the bots and other players on
M's Kingpin Server List page.
You can change their skill level, number of bots, and game mode (DM TDM BM).
