elfor has released more custom crosshairs for Kingpin in a zipfile called triplecross.
There are three different sets of crosshairs and each set has three different crosshairs.
1. Crosshairs from the Quake 2 Dawn of Darkness mod
2. Crosshairs from the Streetwars Kingpin mod
3. Crosshairs from the XMAS Kingpin mod
There are two screenshots included which show the different sets of crosshairs.
It probably easiest to just extract/unzip the files to a temp folder somewhere and decide which set you want to use then just copy and paste the relevant pak file to your Kingpin/main folder.

I just met Ev1lbunny in a Kingpin server. He just reinstalled Kingpin but is having problems. Hopefuly he can get them sorted and will be back playing again.
For those of you who don't know Ev1lbunny made the first custom player model for Kingpin called Anthea.
The Anthea model includes the Leah expansion pack which adds more skins, more heads and several extras such as Raybans & Pink sunnys, a collar for the leather jacket, chrome thigh boots and a Bunny costume (ears and tail). The model has Kingpin vweap support except you see the AK47 instead of the HMG.

Acc has released a fantastic new death match map called Dark Woods Shrine.
A conversion of "House of Wang" ($DMShrin) from Shadow Warrior. Small to medium deathmatch map with 8 spawn points, 2x heavy machine gun (2x .308, 2x cooling), 1x tommygun (1x bullets and 5x cylinders), 1x grenade launcher (4x grenades), 1x bazooka (5x rockets), 2x shotgun (6x shells), and 3 pistol kits (damage + reload + rate of fire).
I'm sure this map is going to be very popular so make sure you download it quick :)

Elfor has managed to replace the adrenaline with the whiskey bottle. So in game you will see a bottle of whiskey instead of the adrenaline but it still works the same way as the adrenaline.

The zip file is set up so you only have to extract the pak9 file to your Kingpin directory. This will place the pak9 file in your kingpin/main folder.
If you already have a pak9 file in your main folder then extract the new pak9 to a temporary folder somewhere and rename it to another number such as pak2, pak4 etc which you don't already have. Then copy it to your kingpin/main folder.
Most of the official death match maps from the original Quake have been converted to Kingpin. Some of them several times.

Fredz has just started work on a new Bagman map which will be called Team Doom.
It's based on Doom3 :)
Here are a couple of early screenshots.
I have put together a complete install package for the KPQ2V3 mod.
KPQ2V3 is an old mod that is a Kingpin-Quake2 hybrid. It supports both Kingpin weapons and items and Quake2 weapons and items. You can play death match , team death match or bagman (but there are no KPQ2v3 bagman maps).
There is also a grappling hook, personal teleports and a jetpack (but none of the maps seem to have a jetpack in them). There are 32 maps for the mod included in the zipfile.
Recently Elfor sent me a client file zipfile for the mod containing client fiels and all the maps. So I dediced to do a complete install package with client files, maps, and server files. I also included the Enhanced server file (kpded2) so ppl can run a public server if they want to.
It took a while to put together as I had to find some missing files, test everything out, set up a pak1 file, add a binds.cfg file with all the custom key binds and create some scripts so you dont have to bind extra keys for the Quake 2 weapons. To swap to the Quake 2 weapons you can just press the normal weapons keys twice (for example if you press the 3 key twice you will switch beteen the Kingpin shotgun and the Quake 2 super shotgun).
I included several readmes on installation, all the custom binds, configuring and running a server etc. There are also two bat files included so you can quickly start either a public or lan server.

I have remade the Welcome to Club Mayhem death match map.
The original map was a rip of the single player bar_sy Salty Dog level. It's a small map set in a bar but only had four player spawns, some texture mis-alignments, doors that needed to be activated to open and no clip brushes.
I got hold of the map source file for bar_sy from the Kingpin SDK and have remade the map.
I removed the doors and the bar counter that needed to be opened, made the bar taller so you can jump in and out of it, added clip brushes so you don't get caught on the dart boards etc. I added more player spawns, kept most of the weapon and item locations from the original Welcome to Club Mayhem map but changes some of them. I left most of the single player props in and the lighting gives the bar a nice warm and glowing feeling :)

Monkey Harris has updated the Linux version of the Hitmen mod to now work with the Enhanced Server Files (kpded2).
So you can now run public servers and have all the benefits of using the kpded2 files such as players being able to download the grappling hook files (pak1).

BoA and Hypov8 have collaborated on a nice new custom skin for the tommygun which will be used in the GunRace mod.
RioTZ is a mod that doesn't get much attention really. It's been around for a long time and went through a major transformation when version2 was released.
So what I have done is created two download folders in our downloads section for RioTZ now. They are RioTZ-classic which contains version 1 files and RioTZ which contains the latest files.

RioTZ Classic
Originally RioTZ was a tactical, round based, team last man standing mod. The two teams are Mobsterz and Gangsters. Each map is played over a certain number of rounds and the map is won by the team who wins the most rounds.
The maps are medium to large and quite often it comes down to racing the clock with one team trying to find the last player from the other team who is hiding somewhere in the map.
When you join a game you receive all weapons but a limited amount of ammo so you can't just go blasting away otherwise you'll soon have no ammo and be left with just a pipe. If you get fragged you spectate the round until one team wins by fragging all of the other team.

RioTZ
When RioTZ version 2 was released it had changed into a rocket arena stlye mod. It's still round based, team last man standing mod and you still spawn with all weapons. But now there is no self damage, you have unlimited ammo and you spawn with full armour.
RioTZ maps are now arena style maps with lots of jumps.
The most recent version of RioTZ (ver3.1) was created by Fredz and he just mentioned to me that if you change dmflags from the default 26396 to 1812 that you can then play more like the original RioTZ classic style as there is no longer infinite ammo and self damage is turned back on. Of course it would be best to use the original maps too.

Elfor has put together a pakfile that contains the RioTZ client files (which are basically the team skins and RioTZ console background) and all the RioTZ maps.
If you install this then you can join Mac's RioTZ server and wont have to download anything.

All the RioTZ files just need to be unzipped to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Acc has released a new death match map for Kingpin called Raw Meat.
It is a conversion of the map from Duke Nukem 3D. It is a largish map set in and around a sushi bar. It has 16 player spawns and plenty of weapons. It uses both Kingpin and Duke3D textures.

Acc has updated his 'Images to WAL textures' utility program. The program allows you to convert many image formats (bmp, pcx, gif, png, tga, jpg) to Quake II WAL files.
Acc explaines why the update:-
...updated the program to version 0.4 because Hypov8 told me animated textures could be achieved by compiling maps with properly configured WAL textures. This version automatically links animated frames (files have to start with a + followed by a one-digit number from 0 to 9, for instance: +0anim1.tga, +1anim1.tga, +2anim1.tga, etc.)

elfor has created levelshots for several hundred maps that didn't have them.
Levelshots are the small map pictures you see when you select a map on the map voting screen, at the end of the current map, in multiplayer on most servers.
So I combined the exisitng levelshots with some I had made over th last few months and the ones Elfor submitted and have created a new Levelshots zipfile. I would say there aren't too many maps now that don't have a levelshot.
If you play online you will already have some of these levelshots but you may as well download the zipfile and get all the available ones :)

Added the option to change your picture. You need to register your email at: https://gravatar.com and upload a custom picture. The email address is then linked to your picture. Please note that your account there will not automatically be linked to an account on this website, should that option be available in the future. :)

Instagib information from Monkey Harris:-
If you're unfamiliar with instagib, it's like the hitmen silencer rounds with one-hit kills, but with added lasers and gibs. I've also enabled the crowbar for it.
Another thing that instagib often has is a form of rocket jumping (but without self-damage) that can be used (with practice) to whiz around the map. I've included that, and it can be adjusted/disabled on the day depending on what people want.
Another great death match map from the early days of Kingpin is Tower Arena by Bolt.
It's a largish map that was released in 1999. It uses all Kingpin default textures and is set in a tower style structure. There is one main arena and many exits that lead to stairs which take you up to several rooms that overlook the main arena. There are ample weapons and others items and a even a secret room.

elfor has created a new zipfle for the Luschen Botmatch server that contains all the maps in rotation and the custom models that the bots use.
This is very handy if you like to play on the Botmatch server and don't alredy have all the files.

We used to play this death match map, Tower (play2.bsp), all the time in the early days of Kingpin when there weren't many custom maps available.
The map is totally crazy with a few players :)
It's a very vertical map with a small ground area and platform lifts to small upper levels. You can jump from the top level all the way back to the ground.
There are heaps of weapons but no cooling mods (due to them being mispelled as colling) .

elfor has edited the Tower map, using Quark, and renamed the cooling mods so they now show up in the map.

Acc has uploaded a new version of his Raw Meat Duke Nukem 3D death match map conversion that he would like people to beta test and leave some feedback.

Shroom City is a weird and wonderful, small, death match map made by Sonik.
Sonik described it as Kingpin on drugs and once you load it up you will see what he meant.
You should probably listen to White Rabbit while playing this map especially after you have found the secret room :)
