Here is a death match map Stigma made back in 2006.
Southside (kp2_southside.bsp) is a small, open area, death match map made up of bits and pieces from the single player game. It features rain, several single player props and some breakable boxes. It has eight player spawns and has one of every weapon except for the shotgun of which there are two.
The Sunday games this week will be the Killapin Mod on the Newskool Killapin server.
Killapin is a capture and hold mod with each map having between one and three control points. Each team has a boss (randomly selected) who gives out ammo and health to the other team members. The boss is only armed with a crowbar but at various times during a match the bosses become invulnerable to everyone except other bosses so can go on a bit of a melee rampage.

For anyone who is looking to set up a Kingpin Monkey Mod Server(DM, TeamDM, Bagman) for either local lan play or a public server should check out my step by tep guide.
It is very detailed and I think (hopefully) covers every aspect of succesfully setting up a server.
PrOpHeT, (who is new to Kingpin) recently streamed a random game of death match.
It starts off 1 vs 1 then a few more people join. The game ends up with two brand new KP players, two fairly recent guys and an old school player so a great mix :)
Jerry has released a new death match map called Weaponomicon DM1.
It is for the Xmas mod but can be used in all DM style games.
It is a small, snow covered, map that has a main upper area and two small lower areas connected to each other by stepping stones. It uses all custom textures made by Jerry.
Elfor and I have put together a complete mappack and player model pack for the Luschen Botmatch and Luschen GunRace+bots servers.
The new pack contains all 332 maps currently on the servers and also the 11 player models used by the bots. It also includes the 5 small pak files you downlaod from the Botmatch server the first time you connect.
You can download everything in the mappack from the server but if you grab this pack you have everytihng you need right away.

Just unzip all the files to your kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Monkey Harris has released version 5 of the KPDED2 Enhanced Server file. It's now out of beta :)
The KPDED2 file allows you to run dedicated public servers. In your server shortcut you just replace the kingpin.exe with the kpded2.exe.
KPDED2 fixes a number of bugs and security holes and also adds many new improvements.
The zipfile contains a very comprehensive readme which you should read.
The readme does include some suggested Quick Start settings and most of the new default settings are fine so you wont need to change/add too many commands to your server.cfg file.
The main changes in the new version 5 are:-
* Improved support for Gamespy master servers (including 333networks). * New "setstarttime" command to set a game start countdown for server browsers. * New "sv_underwater_sound" option to play an underwater sound to players that are under water. * Uptime info for server browsers ("sv_uptime" option) enabled by default. * Built-in support for player country lookups using GeoIP2 database. * Idle mode tweaked to use practically 0% CPU. * Height fix for dead players (stops players blowing themselves up when firing a rocket over a dead player). * Tweaks for improved antilag on connections with fluctuating ping. * Delay info added to the "lag" client command.

Team Dead Things is a small, open, Bagman map converted to Kingpin by Stigma with help from Mr Damage.
It uses a combination of standard and custom textures, has ample weapons and items and 12 player spawns for each team plus some Cypress Hill samples :)
If any one is currently playing the single player mission pack Night Work at the Factory and need some help don't worry there is a YouTube Lets Play video series for it.
It is eleven videos that cover the entire mission and were made by EmoLevelDesigner.
Your Thursday Games this week will be hour or so of Catch the Chicken Mod and then the remainder of the night will be Capture the Flag on Newskool servers.

Here is a small, arena style, deathmatch map called KA Arena. It was converted to Kingpin from Half-Life by Stigma (when he was known as Cujo).
It features a main arena area and little side rooms. It uses standard textures and includes some custom sounds. The map has ample weapons and items and includes some single player props and rain.
Here is a death match map called Green Leaf Towers that was made by Million several years ago. It's quite an interesting map but I don't think I have ever seen it on any servers unfortunately.
Green Leaf Towers is a medium to large sized death match map with several similar looking arena style areas. These are mainly connected by walk through green marijuana leaf textures.
There are ample weapons, ammo, armour and other items and is a good map for largish crowds like in the weekly games.

Thanks to our good friend Gyu we are now able to host the Polish Kingpin sounds.
This is the unoffiical translation of Kingpin into Polish.
The Polish translation was very popular in Poland (of course) but was thought to be lost. But thanks to Gyu (who is Polish) and some of his friends they searched for the files and found them again.
Some background from Gyu:-
In the 1990s, most players in Poland purchased illegal versions of games and software. They were usually bought on street markets and were several times cheaper than the original versions. These games were copied in Russia and later sent to other countries, including Poland. Many games that did not have their official translations were also translated by the Russians and made available together with their illegal version of the game. One such game was Kingpin with its translation, which in Poland was considered to be a cult among Kingpin's players. The translation was done by Russians who didn't speak Polish very well, so their choice of words and curses was very funny.
I have placed all the sounds in a pak file (pak3) so you don't have to overwrite any of the exisitng English sounds.
Youu can download the Polish Kingpin sounds from here.
The zip file is set up so you only have to unzip/extract the pak3 file to your Kingpin folder. This will place the pak3 file in your kingpin/main folder.
If you already have a pak3 file in your main folder then extract the new pak3 to a temporary folder somewhere and rename it to another number such as pak2, pak4 etc which you don't already have. Then copy it to your kingpin/main folder.
If you want to go back to hearing the original English sounds just delete the pak3 file.
