Mr.Goodfinger has released a demo version his Street Revenge Single Player Mission featuring the first episode (The Rundown) which consists of six maps and a cutscene.
As it is the first episode the weapons included in the maps are the crowbar, flashlight and pistol with the rate of fire mod. Of course more weapons are added in the later episodes.
Due to the use of many custom textures Street Revenge has a unique feel and look. But like other missions you will need to locate various items to progress (e.g. keys, combinations, explosives).
It's a simple storyline. You are trapped in the wrong part of town and you need to fight your way back to safety.
You can download the Street Revenge Demo from here.
Just run the Installer and follow on screen instructions.
Basically you browse where your Kingpin is installed and add the following in the install window -
\revenge_singleplayer_demo
The Street Revenge Demo will be installed in kingpin/revenge_singleplayer_demo.
The installer will also add a desktop shortcut which you can use to run Strret Revenge.

Monkey Harris has updated his Kingpin patch to version 7.
A summary of the new features:-
-Fixes a few bugs
-Adds a new "redownload" command that can be used to download updated PAK files from the server instead of visiting a website to get them.
Sometimes when you join a mod server the mod may have updated its pak file(s) and you still have the old version pak file(s).
Before this latest version of the patch when you tried to join that mod server you would get a message to say "You need v.x.xx client files to play on this server. Get them from kingpin.info" . Now you can just type in 'redownload' and the latest pak file(s) will download and overwrite your outdated ones. This is a nice new feature.
See here:-
-Adds a notice to the Visuals and Options menus when playing certain mods telling you that if you make any config changes (change controls, visual settings etc etc) they won't get saved and you should set the changes in normal non-mod Kingpin.
Here is a new video of Kingpin. It's a short 5 minute video of a player running around Rival Turf.
I'm posting it here as it is made by PropHeT Old School Gamer who is part of a retro game group who like to help keep old games alive including Kingpin :)
Please watch the vid and consider giving it a thumbs up. Maybe one or two of their group members might come for a game with us :)

Crime Capital is a death match map made by Cat back in 2003.
It is a medium to large , urban style, map. The map has alot of really nice touches in the sense of broken buildings, interesting angles and a true gritty Kingpin feel.
There is 1 small ouside area and the rest of the map takes place within the buildings and two hidden areas.
There are 24 player spawns and ample weapoins and items.
Hypov8 and [M] have made further improvements to the bots on the Luschen Botmatch server.
As you probably know the Luschen Botmath server can be changed to play DM, Team DM, Hitmen and Bagman). Hypo and [M] have made the bots better at Bagman now:-
When a BM map is played that they have never played, it is important that a Human joins both teams and goes to the home safe, so that they learn where that is.
Then when you play the map again, they should know ;)
Another improvement is that all bots are actually in the game chat now. They even talk to one another.
When Humans chat a lot, it can get a bit annoying though. If you find it too much, just type “mute bot” or “shut up Kingpin” in chat and they will be quiet for 10mins.
Also the Kingpin bot now knows the name of the author of every map in rotation. If you type who made this map the bot will respond with the map name and who made it and possibly one or two other titbits aboutthe map.

Jerry has released a new death match map called Weaponomicon.
It is another small map. There is one battle room inside and a pathway outside with ladders down to a platform where the cooling mod is. If you fall off the pathway or at the back of the room inside you will die.
It uses all custom textures made by Jerry and will be chaotic with a good crowd.
You can download weaponomicon (wpndm4.bsp) from here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
As you may know you can change the bot settings of the Luschen Botmatch server (and the Luschen GunRace +bots server) at the M's Kingpin Server List page. You can change the number of bots, their skill level and the game mode.
[M] has let me know that a new setting has been added that can also be amended by players.
The new setting is called Bot Skill Deviation ans is explained in the following:-
The new percentage setting for the botmatch server:
When it is set to 0, all bots will play at the skill level set (6 in the screen above). If you set it to a different value, the bots’ skill will deviate. Let’s say current botskill is 4 and you set the percentage to 50%, it will make the worst bot play 50% below the overall skill level, so the worst bot will play at level 2 (4 * 50% = 2). The best bot will play 50% above that level, which would be 6 (4 * 150% = 6). All other bots in between will have their individual skill spread out evenly, so if there are 6 bots, their skill would be spread out like this:
Smaller percentages will make the field more narrow.
If you set it to 100%, the best bot will play at twice the overall skill level (capped at 10 though) and the worst bot plays at level 0.
This allows you to create fields of bots that might fit the Human players better.
The “Bot Hunt” setting (which is disabled in the screen above), will make the bots raise right to skill level 10 if a Human player leads by more than 4 frags. This setting is brutal as we learned ;) So we made it optional.

Hellgate Kingpin is my latest map with help from Hypov8.
Hellgate Kingpin is a map based on the Hellgate Rift map from Hellgate:London. It is a death match map for the Halloween mod.
It is a small, gothic style, map. It features gothic columns, a sacrificial alter where you will find the HMG, and a kind of temple with a teleport that sends you to the roof of the altar building where you will find the rocket launcher and armour.
It has ample weapons and items (3 tommys, 2 shotties, 1 gl, 1 rl, 1 hmg, 1 crowbar, 2 sets of armour etc) and thirteen player spawns.
Thanks to Hypov8 for his help with the map. He did several tweaks and fixes and lots of little stuff to improve hte map.
The Sunday Game this week will be the Halloween mod. The first hour or so will be Halloween Hitmen then the remainder of the night will be Halloween CTF.

Goat has added new modes to his upcoming Kill Confirmed mod.
Initially the mod supported Team Deathmatch but he has now added Tagman mode which is like Bagman only with Tags.
Tagman uses normal Bagman maps. You can steal a max of 5 Tags from the enemies safe and a max of 3 Tags from killing an enemy player. Currently the default number of Tags needed to win a round is 60.
He has also added an Instagib mode.
--------------------------------------------
Kill Confirmed is based on the Call of Duty mod of the same name.
The original Team Deathmatch mode is like normal team deathmatch but when you frag another player on the other team they drop a dogtag and you have to pickup (run over) that tag to score the frag point for your team.
If a member of the other team picks up the dogtag first your team doesn't get the point.
--------------------------------------------
There willk be a full test of the mod next week (probably Tuesday). I'll let you know when time and date is confirmed.
If you have taken part in any of the previous beta tests then you will have a pak1, and maybe a pak2, in your killconfirmed folder. You should delete both the pak1 and pak2 from the kill confirmed folder and download the new pak1 when you join the server.
To delete the pak files open your Kingpin folder and you will see a killconfirmed folder. Open that one and you will see pak1 and maybe pak2 so just delete them.

Stronhold DM is a conversion/remake of the dmfletter Quake 2 deathmatch map by me for Kingpin. The oriignal map was made by Macanah who gave me the map to convert to Kingpin.
Stronghold DM is a small to medium sized, urban style, death match map. It has a central area with a three story building in the centre. There are platforms around the outside of the building which allow you to reach the second story and get to a jump pad. You need to use the jump pad at the top of the platform to reach the room on the 3rd level where some good items are (cooling mod, armour, adrenaline).
There are corridors on the outside of the central area that contain two HMG's.
There are ample weapons and items and fourteen player spawns.
The map features graffiti textures made by the Roarke twins.
