New Halloween Map - Fright Bangaz

Here is a new Halloween Mod Death Match map by Jerry.

It is a Halloween version of his Estate Bangaz death match map. For the Halloween version he added an ancient graveyard in the centre of the map with a small lava filled cavern underneath it. There is also an eerie laugh custom sound in the cavern and a large Halloween billboard on the fence.

You can download Fright Bangaz from here.

Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.

Halloween CTF Update

It's almost time to start playing the Halloween Mod.

This year there is also a Halloween version of the Capture the Flag mod to look forward to.

If anyone isn't familiar with realmode it's an official mode that comes with the game. The only weapons are the pipe, pistol (plus the pistol mods), shotgun and tommygun which do a lot more damage. There is still health in maps but no armour.

New Kingpin Server Browser

Elfor let me know aobut a new server browser for Kingpin.

It's a simple server browser that just goes into your Kingpin folder and doesn't require any configuring.

Based on the Quake 2 "Gloom Server Browser" by r1ch, made portable by "mudlord" (who did the heavy lifting so most credit goes to him) with a few few fixes by "ZaRR".

You can download the Kingpin Gloom Server Browser from here.

Just extract/unzip into your Kingpin folder.

To run just click on the file - no configuring necessary. Just double click on a server to join it.

New Death Match Map - Jezzah's Tomb

Jerry has released a new death match map called Jezzah's Tomb.

It is a small, arena syle, death match map. It uses all custom textures and was created with Instagib and GunRace in mind but can be used in any death match style mod.

It has eight player spawns and ample weapons and items. It's a small map and is full on action with a few players.

Easter Mod Files Released

The Easter mod files have finally been released just in time for next Easter :P

In case you misssed it when we played it during last Easter the mod is an Easter themed mod for Kingpin.

The items and weapons in the map are replaced by eggs, there are custom weapon skins and sounds, new prop models, new types of ammunition etc.

It supports normal game modes and there is also an exploding egg mode with killer bees.

Hyov8 Botmatch Server Files Released

Hypov8 has released the server files for v037 of his Botmatch bots.

The zipfile contains everything you need to run a local lan server (both a listen server and a dedicated server).

Check the included readme_bots for setup instructions.

This is great for mappers so they can test their new maps locally and also for anyone who wants to play some botmatch at a lan with some friends.

But remember the latest version will always be on the Luschen Botmatch & Macanah Botmatch servers first and if you play on any of these servers you may meet new friends and get to frag them :)

You can download the Hypo Bot Server files from here.

Just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the corrrect locations.

Chaos Town Death Match Map

Here is an oldie but goody. Chaos Town is a death match map made by PigWhistler way back in 2001.

Chaos Town is a small to medium sized, urban style, Kingpin map. It has a central outdoors area and several buildings that can be entered.

It has 8 player spawns and ample weapons and items.

You can download Chaos Town (chaost.bsp) from here.

If you want to try the map out go to Luschen Botmatch Server (91.114.198.40:31510) and open the console and type - changemap chaost.

New Bagman Map - Team Estate Bangaz

**Update 7th Sept.** I found a few small bugs in the map. I have fixed them and uploaded the new version (renamed to team_estatebangaz_final.bsp).

Team Estate Bangaz is a new Bagman map by Jerry and me. It is a Bagman remake of the DM version of the map.

It is a smallish, urban style,  BM map with the two team bases separated by a wall.

Each team base contains three buildings where the safes and most of the weapons and items are located.

There is a middle passage underneath the wall between the two bases and two holes in the wall that can also be used to get to the other base. 

It's been beta tested and is ready to go. It should be a fun and intense map to play.
