Hypov8 has update the MD2 and MDX importer/exporter for Blender v.279
You can now load directly MDX models into Blender without converting them first.

Hypov8 and I have collaborated on a new death match map for Kingpin. It is a conversion of a popular Daikatana map called Gibbler on the Roof.
Elfor sent me the map source file after he got it from someone in the Daikatana community.
It's a medium to large map and we kept all the original DK textures. After a bit more tweaking it will be released.
The Game this Sunday will be an hour or so of Xmas death match and then the rest of the night will be Xmas CTF Mod.

Since Trenchbroom can not load MDX models or multiple models and textures i created this md2 addon, so that all the errors and gone and you can see every model.
I seprated the Trenchbroom Kingpin addon in 2 version the:
MDX version (If you still want the errors and wait on better patch)
and
MD2 version (For the MD2 version you need the MD2 model addon)
Both versions are updated since last update.
Also for both versions I recommend to install the missing model pack (Also updated for any map editor).
Miminale version 2019.4 is needed but you also can install last version 2019.6 where i created both new addon on.

Monkey Harris has released ver1.62 of the Xmas Mod server files for both Windows and Linux.

The zip file is set up so you only have to unzip/extract the pak3 file to your Kingpin folder. This will place the pak3 file in your kingpin/main folder.
If you already have a pak3 file in your main folder then extract the new pak3 to a temporary folder somewhere and rename it to another number such as pak2, pak4 etc which you don't already have. Then copy it to your kingpin/main folder.
If you want to go back to hearing the original English sounds just delete the pak3 file.

Joint dropped into the game today so I thought was a good time to post about one of his maps.
KFG Arena 2 is a small to medium sized , Quake 2 style, multi levelled map.
The map uses limited textures but it gives the map a nice uniform look.

Hypov8 is currently working on converting the Quake 2 Gene Simmons Player Model to Kingpin after a request from [M].

It's a smallish Bagman map that has two small base areas and a circular pit in the centre area where the money drop is.

I have been trying to think of the name of this map for some time and finally I found it.
Welcome to Death Row. The place where time truly is limited. In this map, you will have to watch yourself.
The map has 4 main areas; two cell blocks, an outdoor holding yard (careful of the electric fence), the main entrance where they bring the prisoners in, and the execution area.
The electric chair can be switched on and off too, which could make for some interesting circumstances if you see someone on the chair while its turned off! ZAP!! 
It's a largish map with 17 player spawns.

Here is a map with an interesting history.
Back in 1999 Optimizer created a small, arena style, map called DM Arena 1
That map was then converted to Heretic II.
Then {GT}Knight ported the Heretic II version back to Kingpin and kept the Heretic II textures.:)

I recently added the Area51 and Voodoo Generation DM2 ver2 death match maps to the Dark Fiber servers and they are proving to be quite popular. So popular that there are now Xmas mod versions as well.
Area51 is a smallish arena style DM map that was converted from Half-Life by Tw!ns3n . It uses the KPDM5 textures and has ample weapons and items.

I have made an Xmas mod version of the Team Dead Things map.
Xmas Team Dead Thiings is a small, open, Bagman map with an Xmas theme of course.
It has ample weapons and items and 12 player spawns for each team plus some Xmas music samples from the 70's :)

After the last game of Kill Confirmed Goat made some updates and is ready to test the new mod again. So he has called a game on Tuesday night starting 9.30pm UK time. It will be Death Match for a hour of so and then Team Deathmatch for the rest of the night. Hopefully this will be the last test before release.

If you have taken part in any of the previous beta tests then you will have a pak1 and maybe a pak2 in your killconfirmed folder and you will get kicked from the server for having old client files.
Iif you have ver7 of the MH Kingpin patch installed you can just type redownload into the console when you get kicked for having old client files and it will download the latest client files overwriting your existing out of date files.
Alternately you can delete both the pak1 and pak2 from the kill confirmed folder.
To delete the pak files open your Kingpin folder and you will see a killconfirmed folder. Open that one and you will see pak1 and maybe pak2 so just delete them.
You will download the new pak file when you join the server.

Here is a good old death match map made by Creamator back in 2003.
It is a small to medium sized map which has one main, two level, open area. It uses all Jedi Knight 2 textures and sounds.
It also has lower than normal gravity to set the mood for a jedi arena style map.

Cage 2019 is a remake, by me, of a small, arena style, death match map originally made by Titleist. The map is a shotgun only map.
It takes place in a room with a cage in the middle of the room.
I remade it primarlity as the original only had 3 player spawns.
Changes I made are:-
Increased player spawns to 12.
Added another shotgun, a set of heavy armour and 2 adrenalines.
Added planks to make it easier to get to top of 2 crates.
Changed the doors into the cage that needed to be opened to always in the open postion.

Jerry has now released his new Bagman map called Team Weaponomicon 1.
It can be used in normal Bagman or the Xmas mod.
It is a small BM map with two levels. It has a tight layout and uses all custom textures made by Jerry.

Deconstruction Zone is a death match map Dirtydog converted from SiN back in 2005.

This SRT-Alpha skin for the Thug model is from an unreleased mod for Kingpin that was in production in the early days of Kingpin. Like so many other mods from those days it never got finished.
This skin is the USA SRT (Special Response Team) skin and was the first of many different nationality skins that were planned.

Educator has added twenty custom maps to his two Kingpin Dark Fiber servers.

Trickle has now released his first map for Kingpin which is a death match map called Enigmatic.
Enigmatic is a large map in the style of the N64 GoldenEye 007 game. It uses all custom textures that Trickle converted from GoldenEye.
It has ample weapons and items and should be a blast with a good size crowd.

One of the features of ver7 of the MH Kingpin patch is that it adds a new "redownload" command that can be used to download updated mod PAK files from the server instead of visiting a website to get them.
So if you connect to a server running a Kingpin mod (GunRace, CTF, Killapin etc) that has the mod client files in pak file format, and you get kicked for not having the latest client files (pak files), you can just type redownload into the console and it will download the latest client files overwriting your existing out of date files.
Very handy.
