Hypoville South is a map made by Hypov8 for the fablous GunRace mod.
But it is also available as a stand alone death match map.
Hypoville South is a large, urban style map very similar to the original Xatrix maps.

I met three new players on the Luschen Botmatch server yesterday. After I joined the server other people also joined and suddenly there was a game going on :)

Most people are familiar with the smallsteel4b death match map made by Pigwhistler that is a DM map mostly ripped from the single player map steel4.
But there is also a larger version with several new original areas added. This one is called Bigsteel4 and is also made by Pigwhistler.
I just checked Bigsteel4 out and can't recall seeing it before.

I just finished checking all those Pigwhistler map's zipfiles that we also host here. I have updated them all so they now all have levelshots (for map voting), readmes, all custom sounds and textures included and the zipfiles are set up so you only have to unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.

Rat Instinct and PigWhistler have relaunched the Atrophy Mod Team website.
It contains downloads of all their Mods they made and also all their maps. Hopefully soon it will include the source codes for their mods as well.

As {SSF}Populous is back playing Kingpin I thought it was a good time to post about my favourite SSF map from the old days.
SSF Arena is a small to medium sized, colourful, arena style map. It has two levels and a secret room :)
There are ample weapons and items.

Jerry has released a new death match map called Land of the Mag.
It's in the same style as his other recent maps but is slightly larger. It's an arena style map with a red theme going on.
Jerry made all the custom textures for the map and it features Magnums, Shotguns, Tommyguns and HMG's only.

3D Realms also released a press-kit. I created new folder with with video's and screenshots check it out here.
Thanks to Petrolhex we got now new kind of version of Kingpin it's Kingpin version 0.5
It's called 'Kingpin - Life of Crime - On the Street' it's some kind of mixture between alpha demo and full version.
Apparently it came with Riva TNT 2 cards.
You can download it in the new folder called: kingpin_onthestreet.
It's not the iso version yet but hopefully that will come soon.
If it doesn't work you need to replace the ref_gl.dll with the Kingpin orginale version or out of 1 off the patches. Becouse it's not build for Opengl.
It probably also explain the logo on Steam abit 'On the Street':
Unfortunately the Steam button for Kingpin wont show up if it is banned in your country, such as Germany.

meowvv is making a version of the Skidrow map for the Garry's Mod.
I tried to repeat the streets and the warehouse where you can steal the coil. This is a beta version of the map, I will finish it later.

Hypov8 has created an example func train map for mappers. It is a lift/elevator that goes to four levels and can stop at any of the levels you choose.

The Daikatana conversion Gibbler on the Roof is the first new map released in 2020.
Its a largish deathmatch map set in an Japanese urban setting. It has both inside and outside areas to frag in.
It has ample weapons and items and 13 player spawns. It features two working lifts and even a secret room.
Hypov8 was a big help with this map as usual :)
