I have done a revised version of the old Too Many Crates Bagman map that was originally made for Kingpin by
Cujo back in 2003.
This is a medium sized Bagman map set in a warehouse with many boxes, crates and large containers.
Each of the team's bases are full of crates and the team safes are opened by switches that are nearby.
The bases are connected via a two-level central area. The money drop is on the upper-level area.
There are side passages connecting the bases and also allow you to get to the centre area.
The update I have done has almost completely retextured the map. I also changed the weapon amounts and placement and changed the player spawns (each team now has 12 player spawns).
The crate piles in the bases were significantly changed and some weapon and item caches added.
Some minor architectural changes were also made.
Ful credit to Cujo for the original map.
You can download Too Many Crates! 2023 from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
The Sunday games this week are the Hitmen mod using lesser-known maps on the Newskool Hitmen server. No map voting and 30 kills limit.
Then It will be Bagman. The first hour will be on Monkey Harris's Newskool Bagman server and then the rest of the game will be on the USA East Coast Snitch Slappa server.
Game starts:-
9.30pm UK time
1.30pm USA PST/4.30pm EST
10.30pm Western Europe/11.30pm Central Europe/00.30am Eastern Europe.

Monkey Harris has updated his Kingpin patch to version 9.
You can download MH Kingpin Patch ver9 from
here.
Just unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and overwrite existing files if asked to do so.
------------------------------------------------------------------
A summary of the new features:-
Asynchronous frame and physics/network updates, which allows higher frame rates to be used without breaking movement and flooding servers. There's an FPS limit option in the "visuals" menu to set the frame rate.
When the fire button is pressed, that is sent to the server immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled packet.
A bright team skins option (enabled by default), which uses bright white lighting on players in team game modes to make it easier to distinguish between the teams.
The FPS display includes the maximum time taken to render a frame during the last second, which can be useful to check for input lag.
Screenshots can be set in the "options" menu to include the map's name instead of "kingpin" in the filename.
The console and chat text can be excluded from screenshots ("screenshot nomsg" command).
The skybox is drawn at a further distance from the player to allow large open space maps to be fully visible.
When the gun is visible with a high "fov" setting, it will be drawn with a lower FOV than the rest of the view to prevent it appearing to be floating in front of the player.
Crosshair transparency can be set with a new "crosshairalpha" cvar.
File packets that are received in the wrong order during a download will still be used to avoid having to re-request them from the server.
CPU usage can be lowered in the "options" menu (lets the CPU rest between frames).
The "cl_stats" output now includes the number of sprites.
Close and minimize buttons are included in the window title bar.
The resolution and FPS limit options have been removed from PATCHCFG (use the in-game "visuals" menu options instead).
The Thursday games this week are the Crash Mod and then the Power2 Mod. Both games will be on the Newskool servers.
Game starts:-
9.30pm UK time
1.30pm USA PST/4.30pm EST
10.30pm Western Europe/11.30pm Central Europe/00.30am Eastern Europe.

Last week I finished my latest Kingpin map. It is a revision of an old Bagman map that was called Too Many Crates! It was made by
Cujo.
It's currently in beta and needs testing.
Here are some screens.

Bwcity is a medium sized map set in an urban cityscape converted to Kingpin by me.
It is a conversion of the Action Quake 2 map that was made by WizardExt and Beavisss.
WizardExt was more than happy to have his maps converted to Kingpin.
It uses all the original textures, has 16 player spawns and ample weapons and items.
Map description from the original readme:-
You are in a city. It's evening, closing in on the night. It's a cold weather, but the city warms you with its colorfull lighting.
There has been an aggressive robbery in the bank, resulting in pistol fire and injures. Police is it at, but the mosquitos don't seem too bothered and keep circling the garbage at the back of the restaurant. The bar is still open, but without too much action.
The whole restaurant is relying on the summer, where it's a yearly attraction for the visitors. If the recent accident wasn't enough, the whole city feels a bit torn apart. Times where better before...

Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.

Some screens from Sunday's huge Bagman game.
Welcome to nQ.iNSTAGUIBy, [NLc]Unibombz & Cathappy7. Also a belated welcome to Chilla-X. Hope you will all come along to more games :)
I have converted the popular jpnctf1 CTF map from SoF to Kingpin for Bagman play.
It is a smallish, three level, map set in a parking garage.
The top level is the Dragon's base, the bottom level is the Nikkie's base and the middle level is neutral.
The mid level is split into two sections, East and West, with acess to both bases from either side. Both East and West sides have a cash spawn area.
This version is a straight conversion from SoF so uses all the original textures.
The map has plenty of weapons, ammo, armour, health and has 12 player spawns for each team.
You can download Team Jpnctf1 from
here.
Full credit to the original author and to Raven Software for making SoF.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
