DM Kundun, by Cujo is a Quake2 stlye map which uses all custom textures. It features jump pads, teleports, custom sounds and plenty of weapons and items.

Jesse Udo has been remodeling the buildings in the first level of Kingpion to make complete buildings.
He is planning on creating a level in UT4 to test it all out.

A few years ago DirtyDog made a zombie bitch skin called Zombie Killer Nurse which was made for Sonik's House of Death Single Player map pack.
There are two versions of this skin in the zipfile one with red health markings and one without.

Here is an old one that TiCaL made many years ago. Many of you probably don't know this map.
El Fortresso Grande is a smallish map inspired by Rainbow 6. It's an action packed little map with lots of areas to play in and several different levels in the map. It also contains several vehicles and even a semi secret room.

Monkey Harris has released an updated version of the KPDED2 dedicated server files for windows and Linux.
The main change is a fix for the stalled download problem (some people have had problems when downloading maps etc from the server that the download stalls).
It also adds a "win_priority auto" config option to boost the server's CPU priority when the server is in use (on Windows only).
If you're planning on running a Kingpin server it's recommended that you use the KPDED2 file. Basically you use the kpded2.exe instead of the kingpin.exe in your server shortcut and add any of the new options you want to use on your server to the server.cfg.

As well as fixing bugs and security holes, kpded2 adds a bunch of other improvements, including the following:
* A workaround for the Kingpin client's broken download support, to allow sounds and skies to be downloaded from the server. PAK files and other Game DLL specific files can also be downloaded from the server.
* Reduced bandwidth, memory and CPU usage. Very low CPU usage when idle mode is enabled by the Game DLL or config.
* Packet loss measurement and duplicate packet sending to reduce it.
* Message buffering to prevent overflows.
* Support for team info in server browsers.
* When a player has parental control active, they will not hear cursing sounds.
* A new console window with command history on Windows ("-oldconsole" can be used in the command-line to enable the old style console window).
* A bunch of new config options and commands (see the readme).

Atrophy Lava Tomb is a conversion of Quake 2's Q2DM6 Lava Tomb death match map by Pigwhistler.
This one is textured similar to the other Quake 2 map conversions he did using standard Kingpin textures.
The Quake Wiki briefly describes Lava Tomb as - the map is entirely indoors, a dark and sooty place with numerous lava pits and traps.
It's one of my favourite of the official Quake 2 map conversions.

Fragtown3 - Hillsdale is a smallish, urban style, death match map set in a city street scene. It is a conversion of a Quake 1 map that I did a few years ago.
It is a conversion of one of the classic Quake Fragtown maps which were a series of levels for Quake deathmatch in a city setting. The original map was created by Demolition Man. You can fight in the streets or kill people from up above on the rooftops. There are plenty of weapons and items and 13 player spawns.

Hypov8 has released a new server browser that searches for Kingpin, KingpinQ3 and Quake 2 servers.
It incorporates the M-browser and Gamespy protocol into one browser and also includes the M's Kingpin Chat room.
It can be installed anywhere but easiest if you just install to your Kingpin folder.
Once installed just go to settings and setup the Game Path(s).

There is a site called PC Savegames who host save games for many games including Kingpin.
You can download saves for each level or a complete zip file which contains 33 save games from Single Player Kingpin. There are saves from every level of the game. There are 14 saves from the first 15 levels, 14 from the next 14 levels and 5 saves from the final 5 levels.
If your going to download the save files and install them I suggest you extract them all to a temp directory. It will create 3 folders with the saves detailed above. Just decide which part of the game you want to play (1st folder 15 levels, the next 14 or the last 5) and just copy the relevant saves into your Kingpin/main/save folder.
If you currently have save files in your save folder I suggest you back them first.

I just found another game file archive site called Lone bullet. This is a site similar to Gamefront that hosts custom files for games both old and new.
Of course they host some Kingpin files :)
