Me and Goat are working on a new mod for Kingpin called Gun Race. It is similar to Hitmen and Arsenal in that the weapons are handed out by the server.
We have only recently started work on the mod so there is a long way to go yet.
To check out an overview of what the mod is about, the plans for the mod, and to keep up with progress you can visit the Gun Race webpage here.
The mod will use death match maps but we are making some maps specifically for the mod and you can see some screenshots of maps that have been completed so far, and also a work in progress map, by visiting the webpage.
The mod page has been added to the Hosted section of kingpin.info

Macanah has just set up a new server in the USA running the Kingpin Force mod.
Server details:-
Server : planetmnh.16mb.com USA Jedi Force Mod
IP : 107.172.207.142:31515
Maxclients : 20
Force mod is a Jedi Knight type mod created using some of the features from the game Jedi Knight 2. All weapons have been removed and replaced with a light saber that you start the game with. In the Force mod the Thug, Bitch and Runt duke it out to the death with a combination of force powers and light saber combat.
There are three available force powers - push, pull and cloak.
You can download the mod files from the server but better to download beforehand.
There are four maps included in the Force mod files (Dual Carbon & Dual Pit by |AB|Mr.Knoxville and Team Jedi Beta & Jedi Arena by Whoop-ass). You can grab the files (which include files for running a Windows server) from here.
Just unzip all files to your Kingpin folder and they will end up in the correct location.

An interesting take on Kingpin in their write up over at TV Tropes. The definition of trope is a word, phrase, or image used in a new and different way in order to create an artistic effect.
Here are some screens from Sunday's game of Bagman.
A bit of a slow start but the game soon got into full swing. Some of it was even streamed on Twitch.tv which must be a first for a game of Kingpin :)
Remember we also have videos of some of our past game you can check out if you want to relive past glories or see what fun you have been misisng out on :P
The Sunday Bagman game this week will be on Killa's Bagman server starting at 9pm UK time.
This week Killa will be rotating only the Bagman maps that have been released since we started playing these weekly game in February 2016. There have been twenty Bagman maps released in that time.
Game details:-
Server : Sundays Bagman Game IP : kp.hambloch.com:31519 Date : Sunday 24th Sept. Time : 9pm UK time
Check the World clock to see what time it is where you are when it is 9.00pm UK time here.
Btw if you don't have a Kingpin server browser you can grab Gamespylite from here.
If you are looking for a game and no one is around then you can play against bots in the Luschen Botmatch Server.
Not quite the same as playing against humans but the bots are pretty good. Also if other ppl see you playing there they may join you and then you can move to another server.
We are still trying to track down the source files for the following mods:-
Arsenal
Enhanced Bagman
Hitmen2/Assassin
If you have any of these source code files please let us know via the 'Contact Us' button on the left (the envelope). For example the Arsenal files were in a zipfile called arsenal_source.zip.
Or if you know any of Rat Instinct, Pigwhistler, Cashmoney or HEXED[A.D.] please also let us know or let them know we are looking for their mod source files :)

Here is an older, little known, death match map called Winter War DM that was made by Limpstein.
It's a smallish, Winter themed, map with all cusotm textures. It is set outside in snow covered terrain. There are two areas that are joined by a frozen stream. The fun part is you can slide on the ice.
There are ample weapons and items and should be fun for a small crowd.
A few years ago I did this conversion to Kingpin of the Quake2 map Board Level which was originally created for Quake 2 by Brenda EP. This is a fun deathmatch map set inside a PC on a motherboard. It uses mostly custom textures to represent the mobo and the inner workings of a PC. It has 10 player spawns, has ample weapons, and armour but only small amounts of ammo & health. If you jump on top of the processor fan you'll be flung to a ledge (IDE ribbon) on the side of the case where there are some nice items waiting for you :)
This Thursday's game at 9.30pm UK time will be the Capture the Flag Mod on the Newskool CTF Server.
Game details:-
Server : Newskool CTF IP : 37.247.117.19:31514 Date : Thursday 14th Sept. Time : 21.30 (9.30pm) UK Time
Check the World clock to see what time it is where you are when it is 9.30pm UK time here.
You can download the files from the server but if you want to get them beforehand to save time you can grab the client files (includes all CTF maps) from here.
Several new faces today :)

Yesterday I made a post about the Bigroom 2 (ver.2) death match map and today I stumbled across this video on Youtube of a 1 vs 1 death match game on this map.

It is a remake of an old DM map called Bigroom 2 that was creatd by Deefa.
It's a small arena style map which features a centre structure, walkways and platforms all on different levels. There are platforms in each corner of the arena which move up to walkways which skirt the edge of the four walls. The structure in the middle of the map has a cooling mod in the middle of the lower section whilst up high is the HMG. The map features ample wepons and items and 13 player spawn points.
You can downlaod Bigroom ver2 (br2_upd.bsp) from here.
The Quake3 death match map Q3DM3 (The Arena of Death) was originally remade for Kingpin by Oracius and named Arena SMRTI (which is Arena of Death in Czech).
Arena of Death Kingpin Style is a complete rebuild of the map.
If you're not familiar with the map it is a small arena style death match map which I textured using the KPDM5 Central Towers textures.
You can download Arena of Death Kingpin Style (kpq3dm3.bsp) from here.

I have released a new Bagman map called Team Death Room.
This is a map based on the Death Room map from the game Combat Arms. It's a small map set in an abandoned secret facility.
Everything is close and compact in Team Death Room, passages are narrow, and the entire map is relatively small. Basically, the map consists of two rooms, each serving as the base for one team, separated by a corridor with two automatic doors and a hallway running above the corridor. The uppper hallway can be accessed by climbing a set of stairs in each room. There are also two side hallways between the two bases.
Hypov8 was a big help with this map. He made the automatic doors and the centre corridor, the custom team wall textures and helped with the lighting.
Sydney CBD Fringes was a map made by Gimp for the abandoned SRT-Alpha mod and left unfinished as the mod was never completed.
I found the map in a zipfile and decided to finish it as it looked like a good map and is supposed to be set in Sydney.
It is a small to medium sized map with most of the action taking place in the streets but with a nice looking office area, a few other rooms, and a rooftop area that is accessible.
It uses lots of custom textures, has 16 player spawns, and plenty of weapons, ammo and other items.
