Extract the pak5 file to your kingpin/main folder.If you already have a pak5 file then extract the new pak5 to a temp location somewhere (such as your desktop), rename it to a number you dont have such as pak2, pak4 etc then copy it to your kingpin/main folder.

Hypov8 has done a significant upgrade to the bots on the botmatch server and they now play Bagman much better.
They now collect money, i.e. they even crouch for the small money, and deposit in their own safe. They also steal money.It’s pretty cool, esp. when you compare it to previously.
They need to learn the maps first which they automatically do when Humans play them. I played a handful of maps against them. First time I ran the map they were useless ;)
Second time I ran the same map, they knew what to do.

Kingpin is on sale at Steam for $4.99 US. until 30th November, as part of their Autumn sale.
Unfortunately the Steam button for Kingpin wont show up if it is banned in your country, such as Germany.
Btw you can also nominate it for an Steam award (click the nominate button on the Kingpin store page) I nominated it for the 'This game was cool before it won an award' award :)
Just exract/unzip the files to your kingpin folder.
Please note that you can download the client files from the Newskool Power2 server but that will take time and then you will have to download every map that loads. So it's best to just download the client files from here.
Power2 is a team based capture and hold mod like the Domination mod in the original Unreal Tournament. Each map contains three control points which the two teams (Warriors and Rogues) must control to gain points and win the round.
So come along on Thursday and have a game of this mod with us :)
Captain Death has released version 3 of his Kingpin Multi Patcher utility.
It contains 14 patches for the Kingpin retail (CD), GOG, and Desura versions.
The zipfile contains a comprehensive readme but if you visit Captain Death's website there is a page dedicated to the multi patcher and explains each of the patches and offers a download link.
You can visit CD's site and download the patcher here.

I have created levelshots for many more maps and updated the levelshots zipfile. I have concentrated on maps that are currently rotating on servers and that didn't have a levelshot already.
In case you don't know levelshots are the pictures you see when you vote for a map on the map voting screen at the end of the current map in multiplayer on most servers.

We have been lucky with the recent release of several good Bagman maps by Killa and AB|Jones. Here is another great addition to the list.
Team Foozball by AB|Jones is a great looking map set on a Foosball table (tabletop soccer).
The map is smallish with the Foosball playing area (complete with two teams of players) and a lower area to give an alternate route to the other teams safebag. The map includes some custom sounds. The map looks great and is fun to play.
***Update 22st Nov*** AB|Jones has updated the map and the new version of the map can be downloaded from here.
There will be more versions coming for death match, Hitmen and CTF.
But remember the best way to play against bots is to jump on the Luschen Botmatch server. You might be lucky and [M] might come and join you for a few maps :)
AB|Jones has released a new Bagman map called Team Spawndeath Two.
This is another of those very small, chaotic, crazy Bagman maps like Team 817 and Team Spawndeath etc. It's well made and looks good. It only features the HMG of which there are eight in each team's base. The map makes good use of the central towers themed textures.
[M] has let me know that the bots on his Luschen Botmatch server are being tweaked and upgraded to make them better opposition. The updating is ongoing at this point.

I have collaborated with Killa to make a Capture the Flag version of his Team Commotion map.
It's exactly the same map excpet that the flags replace the safe bags and the money drop is removed.
CTF Commotion is a small map where the setting is a mirrored version of the main stairs area of the Central Towers map. All weapons featured except the grenade launcher.
While testing out a new map by AB|Jones based on a Foosball table we started discussing other sports themed maps.
One that came to mind is KP Soccer. I checked the zipfile here and it was set up pretty badly. I have now updated the zip so you only need to extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and added a levelshot.
KP Soccer(kpsocker.bsp) is a map made by Intruder way back in 1999 and is set on a soccer field.
Btw if you spawn in the goal you seem to get stuck so just crouch and you will be ok :)
[M] has added it to the rotation at his Luschen Botmatch server.
AB|Jones and I have collaborated on making a Capture the Flag version of his Team Lavapit map.
As the lava trap at the money drop area was the main feature of the Bagman version of the map, and there is no money drop in CTF, I added several items to that area in the CTF version to entice people to go there. The items are a full set of armour, the adrenaline and the pack.
Monkey Harris has amended the 1872 death match map and added the theme music from the Benny Hill Show. The new map is called 1872 Benny.
1872 is the same map as 1873 except 1873 is fully populated with weapons and 1872 only features one crowbar.
The map is a small circular map with a high ledge around the edge where you spawn. You then jump down to the centre of the map into a shallow pool where the crowbar is.
When we were recently playing the 1872 map people thought it was funny, with everyone bashing each other with the crowbar, and would be a lot more funny if it features the theme music from Benny Hill. For those fo you who don't know Benny Hill was a British comedian who was very popular from the 1950's until his death in 1992.
As such Monkey Harris found the music and amended the map. He also added some audience laughter sounds.
The more people who go there the better. If you're looking for a quick game why not drop in there and see if anyone is around and interested in a game. If not go into the Luschen Botmatch server and play against the bots while you're waiting for other people. What happens is that anytime anyone plays in one of the Luschen servers a message will be displayed in the chatroom every ten minutes saying that people are playing in that Luschen server.
[M] has changed the maps running on his Luschen Deathmatch server to run the original KPDM1-5 maps for the next week or so.
So now all you guys out there who prefer to play the original maps can now for the next week or so at least. So lets get that server constantly full right.
Cleo, one of the moderators of the Kingpin LOC FB page has recently changed the cover photo of the page to one which incorporates one of the screenshots from when we filled the server during a game of Bagman recently.
So if you are one of the people in the screen below then you are now immortalised in the cover photo at the Kingpin LOC FB page :)

The best way to play agaisnt bots is on the Luschen Botmatch server but if you want to play against them offline then we have the files you need. There are two types of Kingpin bots and several bot launchers (one specifically for the Kraze bot).
[M] is trying something new with his Botmatch server. He has added a custom sounds pak to the server.
When you next join the Luschen Botmatch server you will download the Duke Nukem taunts sound pack. This means the Duke Nukem sounds will sometimes replace the standard Kingpin ones.
The sound pack is in a pak9. Like any files you download from the Botmatch server it will be downloaded to the Kingpin/botmatch folder.
It will only replace the sounds in the Botmatch server and not any other servers.

Curse Dukecity beta11, by Hogie, is one of the maps we didn't host here individually.
Curse Dukecity beta11 is a very large Curse/Bagman map with a DukeNukem style. It is a city setting and has many DukeNukem references, sounds and textures.
The money drop is in the street and, apart from the team's bases. there are many buildings you can enter. Many of them are Duke themed like a video store, a bar, a pool room etc.
When Fredz was putting together the complete Bagman maps map pack he found some maps we didn't feature here individually. Here are a couple of them.
Team Block Party (curse_bp.bsp) by Hogie - A large Bagman/Curse mod map wich is two auto shops separated by a street. The map is medium to large and while there is a quick and simple way to each bases there are several other longer ways (including a sewer). The team's cash bags are located between two cars.
This Sunday the game is Bagman on Killa's server startign at 9pm UK time.

Well we had a massive crowd today. The most people since we started playing again in Febuary. So many people that we had to increase the player load of the server. The game went for over 4 1/2 hours :)
Kingpin is on sale at GOG for $3.99 US as part of their Monstrous Fall Sale. It will be on sale for the next eight days.

Killa has released his latest gameplay video. This one is of two games in October that features both hitmen and bagman play.

Now that Fredz has finished checking and/or fixing all the Bagman map zipfiles we host here at Kingpin Info he has now put all the Bagman maps into one giant mappack.
The pack is just over 300mg and contains all known Bagman maps.

As I said previously I found an old, unreleased, map set in a tennis court and liked the idea of it so took the actual tennis court and built a new map around it.
Tennis 2016 is a smallish death match map which features a tennis court area, spectator areas and corridors connecting the two spectator areas.
It has plenty of weapons and items, some tennis related pics and sounds and even a cigarette machine for Cleo and a coke machine in case you get thirsty whilst fragging :)
