SavageKurtain is currently working on a new player model for Kingpin. It is from GTA Liberty City Stories and is one of the Sindacco Crime Family.

Just a correction: Originally, I posted that the model was from GTA San Andreas, but it is actually from Liberty City Stories.
SavageKurtain is currently working on a new player model for Kingpin so I thought it would be a good time to post about his first model, the great Andy Capp.
The model is Andy Capp the infamous British comic strip character. Andy is best described as a working-class figure who never actually works :).
The model has Kingpin weapon support and just one skin.

Monkey Harris has done a small update to the CTF server files (for both Windows and Linux) and released v1.6.
The last version had an issue with player spawns and MH has updated CTF to include the latest Monkey Mod spawn point selection.

I have updated my old Frag'N'Die2 map.
I have retextured it, made it easier to get on top of the large crates, and changed some of the weapon and item placement.
For anyone who doesn't know the map, it's a small one room fragfest map set in a warehouse style building.
It has plenty of weapons and ammo, one cooling mod and enough armour.
It has 14 spawn points and uses all standard KP textures.
It's a fun little map.

The Kingpin Blue Big Box is apparently the rarest one known.
Origin: Likely European, possibly promotional only—not confirmed as a retail release.
Discovery: Found on an Interplay product presentation CD, not widely distributed.
Design: Features a blue-toned background with the same gritty urban aesthetic, but with cooler hues and slightly altered layout.
Rarity: No confirmed retail sightings, making it a sought-after mystery among collectors.
I was surprised to see people selling old Kingpin magazine advertisements on Ebay and other places.
The ad below, which we have in our archive at kingpin.info, is currently being sold on Ebay for more than $15 US.

Here is a map for the Crash mod bombing scenario currently in beta. It's the DukeBurger map from Duke Nukem 3D and is made by
Joyeus.
It's a largish map set in and around a Duke Burger joint.
It uses all the original textures, some Duke sounds, and even some map objects from Duke like the health pickups.
One bomb site is in the kitchen and the other is in an area where they keep the animals caged.

Rikia has created a mod for the game Oni that replaces the default NPC taunts and reactions in the game with Russian voice lines (Fargus) from the game Kingpin.
Oni is a third-person action video game developed by Bungie West, a division of Bungie. It was released originally in 2001. Its gameplay consists of third person shooting with hand-to-hand combat, with a focus on the latter. The game's style was largely inspired by the films Ghost in the Shell (1995) and Akira (1988) and shares the same genre, being set in a cyberpunk world.
This mod adds a gritty, Russian gangster vibe to Oni by using the aggressive, stylized voice acting from the Russian localization of Kingpin.

I recently posted about a skin pack of new skins for the Thug and Runt model made by
Bubek.
I have now made a screenshot with all 5 skins represented so I'm reposting.
The pack contains four skins for Thug model (two heads, four bodies and one legs) and one skin for the Runt model (head and body).
Only one of the skins has all three parts so for the others you can just use existing skins that suit such as head_009, legs_003 etc.

Some are quite short, and others are very long, and some stories span over several missions so they should keep you busy for some time :)
If you are looking to play a few rounds of Kingpin and no one is around then you can play against bots in the Luschen Botmatch Server (and there is also Luschen GunRace +bots server).
You can change the bots skill setting whilst you are in the server by opening the console and typing:-
votebotskill xx (where xx is 01 - 10. 01 being the lowest skill setting).
You can also change the bot settings and track your stats against the bots and other players on
M's Kingpin Server List page.
You can change their skill level, number of bots, and game mode (DM TDM BM). You have to play for about 10 minutes in the server before the setting menu wiill appear here.

I have made a Crash mod version of the bwcity2 death match map for the VIP scenario.
There is a train station, several apartment buildings, a Police station, donut shop and an area full of shipping crates. You can also get onto several of the building rooftops.
The Vip escape point is a truck in the corner of the map.
The original DM version was a conversion of the Action Quake 2 map that was made by
WizardExt,
Kurupt and
Beavisss. WizardExt was more than happy to have his maps converted to Kingpin.

Trickle found an error that needed to be fixed. So, he has updated the map and released the new version.
If you have already downloaded the map just download the updated map and overwrite the existing map file.
The map has unique gameplay that puts the VIP in a dangerous situation! There are sniping spots for both teams. The VIP must cross the bridge and choose two special exits to escape.

Hypov8 is working on adding a new grapple to
KPQ3 that
Al0
has made.
For some reason both Steam and Good Old Games (GoG) have just doubled the price of Kingpin.
As it's both platforms I would assume it's
Interplay who have done it.
This seems an insane decision to me. The game is twenty six years old for goodness's sake. For comparison Quake and Quake 2 are half the price of Kingpin now.
In my opinion they would sell a lot more copies of the game if they had reduced the price not raised it.
There may be a logical reason for the price hike but I don't believe Interplay have released an official statement about it.
For the next 32 hours, Kingpin is on sale for 20% off at GoG.com. It's a good time to grab it now if you've been meaning too get it.
