Jonez has updated his Team Bloody Tracks map and released Team Bloody Tracks Revisited.
He has added ladders so you can get on to the roofs of the bases, made the map a little lighter, and removed the side towers. Plus a few other minor changes.
If you don't know the map it is a smallish Bagman map set in a trainyard with the textures being all concrete and brick,
Railroad tracks dissect the map in the centre where the money drop is. There are a few ways to get between the team's bases and there are plenty of weapon and item caches.
You can download Team Bloody Tracks Revisited from here.
Download and open the zipfile, then just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Malevolence Remake was one of the maps I made for the GunRace mod but it is also available for normal death match play.
It is a remake of the DM-Malevolence from UT99 that was originally made by Akuma.
It's a smallish, multi levelled, map set in sort sort of facility.
Ample weapons and items and ten player spawns.
You can download Malevolence Remake from here.
Download and open the zipfile, then just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Here is a shot of the second map I'm creating from the one larger map.
We plan to test these two maps, plus a new map from Jerry, on Tuesday night at Newskool Fragfest server.
This is a deathmatch map I made which is based on the Junk Flea map from the game called Combat Arms. I really like some of the maps in that game and have remade a few for Kingpin.
It's a small to medium sized map set in a junk yard. There are two buildings at either end of the map.
One of the main features are the crates that you can run through in the middle of the map.
There are sixteen spawns and plenty of weapons and other items.
This map is in rotation on all the Death Match and DM style mod servers.
Hypov8 was a big help with this map.
You can download Junk Flea Tribute from here.
Download and open the zipfile, then just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
I am currently updating a very old, very large death match map. I am planning on making two smaller maps from it.
Here is a screen from the WIP of the first map.
Ghosts was the first map I made for he GunRace mod but it is also available for normal death match play.
It is a medium sized, urban style map, inspired by the Ghost Town map from Combat Arms.
There are lot of buildings and outsdide areas to frag in and several shipping crates spread around the map.
You can download Ghosts from here.
Download and open the zipfile, then just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Mr.Goodfinger is now working on the final map of his upcoming Street Revenge Single Player Mission.
A lot of the work has been finished for some time but he has been tweaking, adding, and improving the mission. Hopefully it will be released shortly.
In the meantime you can try the demo version he released featuring the first episode (The Rundown) which consists of six maps and a cutscene.
You can download the Street Revenge demo from here.
Just run the Installer and follow on screen instructions.
Basically you browse where your Kingpin is installed and add the following in the install window -
\revenge_singleplayer_demo
The Street Revenge Demo will be installed in kingpin/revenge_singleplayer_demo.
The installer will also add a desktop shortcut which you can use to run Strret Revenge.
Over the past few days I have been updating my Kingpin Mapping site. It's finally done and features a majority of the maps I have worked on over the years.
There are many maps for Death Match, Bagman, CTF and other mods as well.
If you want to take a look you can check it out here.
The old Kingpinforever forums are still open for business.
One of the forums is Kingpin Maps and Mapping and it has a topic called Latest Kingpin Maps. This topic has an entry for most Kingpin maps released since 2016. It has a description, screenshot and a download link. It's a fairly quick way to check out a lot of maps from 2016 up to today.
Don't worry if you go there and download some maps as you are still supporting kingpin.info as most of the download links for the maps are from here :)
Check ouut the Latest Kingpin Maps topic here.
I was also thinking it would be a good place for Kingpin mappers to maybe post screenshots of upcoming maps and preview them etc.
Here is a map I originally converted from Quake 2 for the GunRace mod but it is also available for normal death match play.
The Cake is a Lie was made in Quake 2 by Spirit. Spirit gave me the ok to convert his map and he liked the Kingpin version.
It's a medium sized map and the theme is an abandoned temple. It uses all custom textures.
It's a verticle style map with several jump pads and lifts.
You can download The Cake is a Lie (spirit2dm9.bsp) from here.
Download and open the zipfiles, then just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
