MH Kingpin Patch

There are many features of the unofficial Kingpin patch made by Monkey Harris. It has heaps of fixes and tweaks, allows for custom resolutions, adds some visual options as well as new mouse options and it also adds all the current Kingpin servers to th Gangbang menu.

Just start Kingpin, press ESC, click on the Gangbang menu and then Join Network Server menu. You shoudl then see all the servers you can join.

Here is a screen that Elfor sent in showing the menus.

Death match Map - KP2 Lab Beta

KP2 Lab beta is a death match map made by Creamator back in 2004.
It's a largish map set in a Research Laboratory Facility. It uses all Half-Life textures, features a 'fake' reflective floor in one area, and includes many single player props and breakables.
It has 13 player spawn points and ample weapons and items.

You can download KP2 Lab beta from here.

Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.

Thursday Game Death Match & Godfather Mod 15th July

The Thursday Game this week will be an hour or so of Death Match then the remainder of the night will be the Godfather Mod on Newskool Servers.

As I mentioned in the Godfather post below I suggest downloading the GF Autoexec file from here.

The zipfile also contains a comprehensive readme for the mod.

Just unzip all the files to your kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations (kingpin/godfather).

The keybinds in the Autoexec are:-
bind "i" "showstats" //show current leader stats/your game stats
bind "u" "showtable" //show ranking system
bind "k" "teleport" //use teleporter
bind "j" "teleport_set" //set teleport position (for later use)

Godfather Mod Update

Hypov8 has finished updating hte Godfather mod and it's now at ver 2.0.

He has fixed all the bugs, added five new game modes and added a couple of new features:-

Added MM2.0 features
Many major and minor bug fixes
Lots of code cleanup, esp from 1.7 new gamemodes
Finished realmode and weapoin-mod mode
Added colour to Promotion (yellow) and Demotion (red) console messages
Added 5 new game modes:-
gamemode 2 - reverse godfather (you get all level bonuses at lowest level then less bonuses as you level up)
gamemode 3 - weapon-mod godfather (no pickups)
gamemode 4 - real-mode + regular godfather
gamemode 5 - real-mode + reverse godfather
gamemode 6 - real-mode + weapon-mod godfather (no pickups)
Updated onscreen Table for reverse mode and modes with no pickups
Removed taunt key binds as they are no longer needed
Added "teleport_set" client command to set a new teleport location

We will test the new version at the Thursday game and, if no further bugs found, then release the server files.

I do recommend downloading the Godfather Autoexec.cfg file though as it contains the client commands you use in the mod. You can use the preset keys or you can edit the file to set your own key binds.

Woodland Hills Death Match Map

Here is a map made by Sonik way back in 2000. It is a map based on the first level of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game.

You can do all the trick jumps and combos and such.

From Sonik's Readme:-

This map is like nothing you have ever seen for Kingpin. I made the first level from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and even added the trick spots. For example, if you want the tommy gun you are going to have to jump a gap. This could lead to some very interesting situations!!

Barren Meadow Single Player Mission Updated

acc has released a patch for his horror themed Barren Meadow single player mission.

"Fixes compatibility issues with the base game, tweaks a few maps, fixes the rushed ending. See change log for more info.

This patch is not compatible with existing saves.

Make sure you get the new patch as well.
