New Death Match Map 4 Shades

Fredz has released a new death match map called 4 Shades.

It is a smallish map set outdoors in a forest area.

There are many trees, a shack, a broken down Kingpin platform and the ground is all uneven.

There are 14 player spawns and plenty of weapons and items. It should be frantic action in this one.

You can download 4 Shades from here.

Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder.

Thursday Game Of Death Match & GunRace Mod

This Thursday's game, starting at 9.30pm UK time, will be Death Match on the Newskool Fragfest server. After about two hours of death match we will switch to beta testing of the new GunRace mod on Goat's GunRace server.

GunRace Mod Update

After a lot of work from Goat and Hypov8 the GunRace mod has reached beta stage :)

There will be beta testing of the mod after the Thursday game this week.

Updated Bagman Map Team Winter's Edge

I have updated the Team Winter's Edge Bagman map (team_we_2016.bsp).

The old version didn't have junior entities in the map with a high enough light value.

Kingpin uses Directional Lighting to light the players and weapons and if you have this option turned on and there are no juniors , or their light value isn't high enough, the players and weapons will appear dark.

Apart from one or two other minor tweaks that's the only major change I made.

Even More Custom Crosshairs

Elfor has converted all the crosshairs from the game Dusk for Kingpin.

The zipfile contains four different sets of three crosshairs.

It probably easiest to just extract/unzip the files to a temp folder somewhere and decide which set you want to use then just copy and paste the relevant pak file to your Kingpin/main folder.

Screens From Thursday Game Of Hitmen & CTF

New Textures For Mappers

Fredz has created a new texture pack for mappers. The texture pack is made up of 256 basic colour textures.

So for example there are 64 textures that transition from black to white by which I mean black , a little lighter, a bit more lighter, greyish, grey, ......almost white, white.
