Sunday Game Of Capture The Flag Mod

This Sunday's game at 9pm UK time will be the COLORS CTF Mod.

You can download the CTF client files from here.

Alternately, thanks to Monkey Harris, you can download the client files from the actual server (it will create a ctf folder and download a pak1 file into it).

The only issue with this, though, is that if you already have a pak1 in your kingpin/main folder it wont work.

So what you should do is check your main folder to see if you already have a pak1 file (most ppl wont) and if so just rename it to any number between 2 and 9 (i.e. pak2, pak3, pak4 etc). Then you will be good to go :)

There is also a mappack of the maps that MH is rotating on the Newskool CTF server which you can download from here. 

Come along and do some flag capturing :)

CTF Mod Client Files

We are thinking of playing the COLORS CTF Mod for this Sunday's game.

Monkey Harris is working on making it so you can download the required client files from the server but just in case I recommend downloading them from us here.

The client files contain maps, skins, models, backgrounds, sounds etc.

They are in a self extracting file and you just type in your kingpin location and the files will be extracted to the correct place.

Capture The Flag Client Files

Just a reminder that you need to have the COLORS CTF client files installed in order to be able to play on a CTF server (otherwise you get kicked and you see a msg to download the files from captaindeath.com).

New UK Capture The Flag Server

Inferno 2.0 Mod & Source Uploaded

I found the mod files and the source files for Sedonium's Inferno 2.0 Mod so have uploaded them to Kingpin.info.

My old post at Kingpinforever pretty much sums up the mod:-

It was originally described as an ultra gore zombie mod and that is a fair description. I would say it is a mix of the Extreme mod and Kraze bots with a hint of Quake2 and Unreal Tournament and a large dose of steroids.

You can play single player or multiplayer. Even in multiplayer you get to play against AI NPCs (or bots if you will).
There are many customisable options in the server.cfg such as which weapons you start with, how much ammo or even unlimited, which colour you want the flames and explosions to be, how much health you start with and max health etc etc.

You get extra bonuses for headshots and you go on killing sprees in Rampage or Godlike modes.

The AI's are more like zombies, you can shoot their head/arms off and they still fight you.
Plus AI Respawns in singleplayer / multiplayer, so there is always a crowd of angry gang members waiting.

Bloodmoney Maps Uploaded

I have uploaded three Bloodmoney maps that are rotating on {GT}The Ghost's Bloodmoney mod server so you can download them from here and don't have to wait to download them from the server.

The three maps are:-

bm_vertigo

bm_extremechaos

bm_ghosttown

Just extract all files to your Kingpin folder.

If you need the Bloodmoney mod client files you can grab them from here.

The files are in an installer so just follow onscreen instructions.

The Bloodmoney server is running in DM Cash Snatch mode which is basically Bloodmoney death match mode - you kill Players and Bots and get their cash and the winner is the player with the most cash.

Blood Money Server

You may have seen the new Blood Money mod server in QTracker and Gamespylite.

is testing a new version of the Mod.

You can join without having the client files but to get all the features you need them

The current client files still work so if you already have them installed just rename the bloodmoney folder to bmkp and you should be ok. This is becaues he is running the mod from bmkp, instead of the bloodmoney folder.

If you don't have the Blood Money cleint files installed you can download them from here.

The client files are in an installer so just extract to your kingpin folder and it will place all files into a bloodmoney folder.

Once installed just rename the bloodmoney folder to bmkp and you are ready to go :)

Please note that when you join the server you will still need to download the maps are they are new/updated maps.

New Monkey Mod Server Files Released

, who created the original Monkey Mod, has released a new version of the Monkey Mod server files for Windows and Linux. These are v1.53.

Changes are:-

Changes from monkey cds 1.52b to monkey cds 1.53

* notification of connecting players, and what country they're connecting from

      - the country info is also shown in the "players" list

* any cash held by a player will be dropped when they disconnect or spec

* added a new cvar (no_zoom)

   - no_zoom disables zooming-in by setting the FOV below 90

   - no_zoom is 0 (off) by default, set it to 1 (on) for it to take effect

   - no_zoom can be set from server console, rcon/rconx and server.cfg

* tweaked flame hack handling

   - the "kick_flamehack" option is now set to 1 (on) by default

   - before kicking, it will first try automatically setting gl_polyblend to 2

* fix to stop console clearing on map changes

* fix for banned IP checking bug

* fix for "custom_map_file" loading leak

With the release of the v1.53 Monkey Mod server files it means we have two current, viable, versions of the Monkey Mod.

V1.53 just released by Monkey and v1.60 released by .

What we need to do is get hold of the v1.60 source codeand get it to Monkey so he can incorporate those updates into his code. So basically v.153 and v1.60 get combined and we end up with v1.61 :)
