GunRace Mod Update

Recently Goat implemented the Reverse mod so players start with the M60 and work there way backwards to the Dual Pistols and then get the Machete. This has become the most popular mode.

Goat and Hypov8 are curretnly working on a random mode where weapons will be received by the player randomly except the Machete which will still be the final weapon.

Once this is completed v1.0 will be released.

Due to the changes we made to the player model animations to include dual weapons the player Extras (hats, cigar etc) don't work properly. As it is a large amount of work required to fix, the Extras will be deactivated for v1.0 release. Hopefully they can be fixed for a later release.

Luschen Botmatch Server

Just a reminder that if you are looking to play a few rounds of Kingpin and no one is around then you can play against bots in the Luschen Botmatch Server.

Not quite the same as playing against humans but the bots are pretty good. Also if other ppl see you playing there they may join you and then you can get  game going :)

You can change the bot settings and track your stats against the bots and other players on M's Kingpin Server List page

You can change their skill level, number of bots, and game mode (DM TDM BM).

Crash Squad Mod Beta 0.5 Server Files Released

Monkey Harris has now released new Windows and Linux Server files for the Crash mod (beta 0.5). He has also released the source files.

There are several changes/updates and here are a few of them:-

Any map on the server (even not in rotation) can be loaded with the "changemap" command (or new "votemap" alias)
Grenade blast radius reduced slightly to reduce self-damage
A larger notice is shown to the bomber/VIP at the start of each round
Doors are reset at the start of each round
Round start delay reduced from 2s to 1s
Radar hint shown for 15s at start of map

Just extract the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct location (kingpin/crash).

If you are going to run a Crash server you need the clent file too for the Crash maps and so players can downlaod the client fiels from the server if they don't have them already.

Crash Client Files

It is recommended that you use the KPDED2 Enhanced Kingpin Server File to run your server. Apart from many other fixes and imrovements it allows players to download the client file from the server.
