Monkey Harris has released an updated version of the KPDED2 dedicated server files for windows and Linux.
This version uses master.kingpin.info as the default master server instead of gsm.qtracker.com.
Since the last release, it also adds demo recording of any player, tweaks to the anti-wallhack feature, and support for KP's parental control option (blocks cursing sounds).
If you're planning on running a Kingpin server it's recommended that you use the KPDED2 file. Basically you use the kpded2.exe instead of the kingpin.exe in your server shortcut and add any of the new options you want to use on your server to the server.cfg.

As well as fixing bugs and security holes, kpded2 adds a bunch of other improvements, including the following:
* A workaround for the Kingpin client's broken download support, to allow sounds and skies to be downloaded from the server. PAK files and other Game DLL specific files can also be downloaded from the server.
* Reduced bandwidth, memory and CPU usage. Very low CPU usage when idle mode is enabled by the Game DLL or config.
* Packet loss measurement and duplicate packet sending to reduce it.
* Message buffering to prevent overflows.
* Support for team info in server browsers.
* When a player has parental control active, they will not hear cursing sounds.
* A new console window with command history on Windows ("-oldconsole" can be used in the command-line to enable the old style console window).
* A bunch of new config options and commands (see the readme).

Here is a lesser known male player model.
It's Spaceman Spiff. Spiff is an alter ego of the cartoon character Calvin from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strips.
It's a small model and he features all custom space weapons. It was converted to Kingpin by {GT}Knight
You can download the Spaceman Spiff model from here.
Just unzip/extract the files to your Kingpin folder.

Fredz has made another small update to the Gamespy Lite server browser.
The chat in Gamespy Lite (#kingpin) has been linked to [M]s Kingpin chat room.
So if you type something into Gamespy Lite chat it will show up in [M]s Kingpin chat room.
You can download the updated Gamespy lite here and of course on the left side of the menu.
Killa is currently working on a new Bagman map called Team Terra Firma.
It's based on the central area of Team Rival but it has been changed considerably and lots has been added including a ton of detail. It's a smallish map and is not mirrored.
Early beta versions are being testing during the Sunday Bagman mgames and it should be finished in the not too distant future.

[M] has done another small update to his Kingpin server browser and released ver1.9f.
The AVG anti virus program should no longer falsely pick it up as a virus.
You can download the new version from here.
Just extract the file to your Kingpin folder.
